There are numerous underground metro lines in Tokyo. They are well organised and colour coded.
There are usually escalators and elevators to get to and from platforms.
The trains are often very long - 12 carriages or more.
It's very busy on the railway systems. There are big crowds on station concourses and on trains.
Some
stations are very large. You need to get in and out of the station
complex by the correct entrance to avoid a long walk or getting lost.
The station complexes often contain shopping centres.
