The Japanese are very punctual. For example, if a train is due to leave at 10:21, it leaves at exactly that time - not a minute before or a minute after. Unfortunately this can be a problem if you are late. They will close the doors on you if they are due to depart. Then again, the next train will arrive a few minutes later.
If you are waiting for the 10:00am bus, it will arrive before the appointed time and leave exactly on time. The same applies for organised tours.
